About the Author
Heather Frost writes mostly YA fiction and has a soft spot for tortured characters, breath – stealing romance, and happy endings. She is the author of the Seers trilogy. She has a BS in Creative Writing and a minor in Folklore, which means she got to read fairy tales and ghost stories and call it homework. When she’s not writing, Heather likes to read, travel, and hold Lord of the Rings movie marathons. She owns two typewriters, sings in the car, and dreams of living in a castle someday. She currently lives in a beautiful valley surrounded by towering mountains in the wilds of Utah.
My Review

First of all, the plot of Royal Decoy was awesome! It’s definitely not those overused plots that you see all the time (to the point of being cliche). Although the book started off a little bit slow, it picked up quickly. It flips between two storylines, and I thought this was a great choice by the author, as it makes you really engaged. And there was a perfect balance, as I equally loved both storylines so I didn’t feel prone to skipping. Sometimes when books flip between two perspectives, I end up liking one more than the other and just skip chapters, but this was definitely not the case for this book.
The book cover and some of the scenes in this book seemed sort of reminiscent of The Selection series by Keira Cass, so if you liked that series, you’ll love this one. That said, it’s got it’s own twist and unique storyline so you’re not going to be reading a second “Selection” series. I hope, and definitely won’t be surprised if it hits the charts. 🙂
Overall, I loved the writing, and seriously can’t wait for the next book! Definitely put this on your to-read list.
